First LV Bonding Set Delivered to Scanpower

The first production LV Bonding Set has now been completed at our Christchurch facility and is on its way to Scanpower, marking the very first customer delivery of this new product line.

This milestone reflects the growing demand for safe, compact, and adaptable low‑voltage bonding solutions as networks respond to increased solar generation and EV uptake. Developed in New Zealand and tested to 6 kA for 1 s, the LV Bonding Set provides a versatile platform for field crews working across a wide range of fuse holder types and LV configurations.

Each set includes copper PVC‑insulated 25 mm² bonding cables, a trifurcating swage joint, aluminium clamp with T‑handle spindle, operating pole, and a comprehensive suite of earthing cartridges. Supported cartridge types include DIN NH00 and NH01‑03 blades, J‑type cartridges covering 76 mm, 82 mm and 92 mm fuses, S7 cartridges compatible with both IPD and Flowline fuse holders, RS63 cartridges, and RS100 cartridges. All components are housed in a foam‑insert Pelican‑style case.  The Scanpower set has a total weight of 7.3 kg and compact dimensions of 470 × 357 × 176 mm.

There is no standard set. The LV Bonding platform is supplied using a pick‑and‑mix model, allowing EDBs and contractors to customise their own configuration to suit the fuse holders and operational requirements specific to their networks.

We acknowledge the practical support from our team and the field crews at Connetics, whose involvement in trials and refinement has contributed to the final design. We also appreciate the broader insights shared by the various EDBs and contractors consulted during development.

This first shipment to Scanpower signals the formal launch of the LV Bonding Set range. Our upcoming newsletter will feature a full launch overview, product specifications, and a link to the upcoming “Build Your Own Set” configurator on our website.
